Nations

Nations are the polities that the Plastic World is divided up among.

Major Nations

Green

The Green Nation is a Democratic nation. All of the series' heroes are Green. They are probably based on the United States of America. The Green are lead by a Green President who is rarely seen or referenced, with Colonel Grimm seeming to be the highest-ranking member of the Green Army.

• The Cult - In Army Men II, the AWOL colonel of Green Army creates a cult which consists of green, tan, blue, and grey followers. They are defeated by Sarge.

Tan

Tan Republic - Though it is referred to as a Republic, the Tan Nation seems to be a military dictatorship ruled solely by General Plastro; In Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2, Field Marshal Tannenburg is the leader of the Tan Nation until Plastro returns halfway through the game. They are the 'bad guys' of the series. They were probably based on Nazi Germany, as well as Communist nations, with Plastro's name being a pun on Communist dictator Fidel Castro.

• Operation Vengeance - A faction of Tans lead by Lord Malice who are responsible for sabotaging the Green/Tan peace ceremony, killing all of the Greens except Sarge and all of General Plastro's Tans. Presumably they were wiped out by Sarge as vengeance.
• Major Mylar's Tans - A faction of Tans lead by Major Mylar, who betrayed Plastro.

Blue

Blue Nation - A rather mysterious nation focused on espionage. Rarely found on the front lines, they run messages and gather information for the highest bidder. They seem to be based on the French. They are usually allied with the Tan Army, deploying Blue Spies to gather information and sabotage the Greens. However, in Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2, Plastro betrays them, and the Blue Nation helps the Greens.

Grey

Grey Nation - A Guerilla nation. They do not seem to have any particular allegiance. In the original Army Men game, Grey soldiers fight Sarge, but a retired Grey colonel helps him find the portal. In Army Men: Sarge's Heroes and its sequel, the Greys are friendly towards Sergeant Hawk, and are at war with the Tans.

• Dr. Madd's Greys - Dr. Madd is a grey scientist allied with General Plastro and the Tan Army. He has a small cadre of loyal Grey Guards.

Minor Nations

Space Nations

• Space Aliens - Orange Space Aliens who appear in Army Men: Toys in Space. They team up with the Tan to fight the Greens and the Galactic Army. They come in several varieties, including Larvae, Spiders, Drones, and Commanders. They are not related to the Orange Nation.
• Galactic Army - A light-blue nation of spacemen and women. They appear in Toys in Space and team up with the Greens. They seem to be a spoof of early Sci-Fi serials.

Red

Rarely seen, the Red Republic seems to be at war with the Tan Republic, as Plastro has Red soldiers held captive in his gulag.

Black

The only appearance of the Black Nation is as civilians in Army Men: Toys in Space. Parts of Black soldiers have been attached to Zombies.

Orange

Mentioned in Sarge's Heroes 2. They also appear as a selectable team color in Army Men RTS.

Other

• Purple Nation - Only seen in the multiplayer mode of Army Men: RTS, they are most likely cousins of the Blue Nation. Their color greatly resembles that of the Blue Spy seen in the opening cutscene of Army Men: Green Rogue though this is most likely a coincidence.
• Teal Nation - Only seen in the multiplayer mode of Army Men: RTS, They are most likely related to either the Green Nation or Blue Nation. Their color greatly resembles that of the Blue enemies in Army Men: Green Rogue, but this is almost certainly coincidental.
• Olive Nation - Only seen in the multiplayer mode of Army Men: RTS, They are most likely related to the Green Nation. Their color incidentally resembles that of the Green Nation troops in Army Men: Sarge's War.
